The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has published revised standards for children and young people in emergency care settings. The revised guideline provides healthcare professionals, providers and service planners with measurable and auditable standards of care applicable to all urgent and emergency care settings in the UK. This updated edition reflects changes in the way care is delivered: there is a new chapter focusing on mental health and substance misuse and the document takes a 'pathway' approach to aid a multi-professional workforce.
