The East Midlands CFS Clinical Network

The East Midlands CFS Clinical Network Co-ordinating Team (The Network) is based at the Royal Derby Hospital.  The Network area includes the counties of: Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, and Rutland. 

 

The Network has been operational since August 2005.  The Adult Clinical Champion is Professor C D Ward, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurology.  The Paediatric Clinical Champion is Dr Helen Venning , Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist. (Based at QMC,  Nottingham)

The overall aim of the Network is to champion and support the development of multi-disciplinary CFS services in our area.   The Network will disseminate best practice and develop shared pathways and protocols.

The Network links into the National Collaborative team (comprising the clinical leads and network co-ordinators for all 13 clinical networks) to ensure that a collaborative approach is maintained and developed.
