The European Commission published a number of research funding calls this month.
NHS organisations are eligible to apply for co-funding under this Programme and may be interested to participate.
The NHS European Office has produced the two attached briefings on the 2011 calls – the first is a specific brief on the Health Work Programme and the second provides an overview of other thematic areas, such as ICT, that may also interest NHS organisations.
The NHS European Office can assist NHS organisations in:

obtaining further information on the Research Framework Programme and its calls for proposals, as well as the organisation of relevant information events;

liaising with the European Commission to discuss possible plans for a project proposal and whether the ideas correspond with the Commission’s priorities for funding;

seeking a consortium that is currently being established around a specific topic of interest; and
-
seeking to identify a European partner to cooperate with in developing a project proposal.
Communication will be through the NHS Confederation’s channels and the Innovation and EU Funding web page will be updated regularly with the relevant information.
