Medilink East Midlands’ Innovation Day 2011, showcased the latest advances in healthcare and bioscience within the East Midlands.

Medilink East Midlands’ role is to provide assistance through business support, development & networking programmes within the healthcare sector, and The Innovation Day was the key event within these programmes.

Pictured above is Simon Shepard, CEO of Optima-Life which won the Partnership with the NHS Award sponsored by NHS East Midlands in this year’s Medilink East Midlands Business Competition. With Simon is Bernie Stocks, Head of Innovation and Improvement at NHS East Midlands.

The award recognises Optima-Life’s recent collaboration with the Glenfield Hospital Leicester Cardiology Department in assisting the evaluation of exercise capacity in chronic heart failure patients.
