Medipex NHS Innovation Awards 2011

The 7th annual Medipex NHS Innovation Awards and Showcase 2011 has taken place with a total prize money of £10,000.  The competition identified individuals and teams in the NHS whose ideas and innovations have led to, or could lead to, significant improvements in healthcare delivery in their departments, organisations or the wider NHS.

Entries were welcome from any NHS employee working in the Yorkshire & Humber or East Midlands region. In addition, companies, individuals and university employees working with NHS employees in these regions were also eligible to enter.

The closing date for entries was the 14 July 2011, and the award ceremony was held on 22 September 2011.

Healthcare IT Innovation Awards

NHS teams are being encouraged to enter a national awards scheme that is looking for new and unusual ways of using technology to improve healthcare.

From telehealth and telecare to social media, the EHealth Insider (EHI) Awards 2011 in association with BT will reward healthcare teams involved in excellent and innovative technology projects. Free to enter, and with a distinguished judging panel including Christine Connelly, director general informatics at the Department of Health, the awards offer a unique opportunity to highlight the work done by teams in the NHS to improve healthcare through technology.

 Innovation in Outcomes Competition

The Secretary of State for Health has launched a competition to collect the best and most innovative ways of measuring and reporting health outcomes.

Tell us how your organisation measures health outcomes for:

· Improving recovery from stroke

· Improving children’s and young people’s experience of healthcare

Share your evidence and experience and help to build the NHS Outcomes Framework

The Da Vinci Health Technology Innovation Awards

The Da Vinci Awards recognise collaborations between clinicians, researchers and industry to meet today's most clinical challenges.
