The workshop commenced with an introduction to the objective of the session which was;
To share information knowledge and expertise of current projects in the East Midlands and information available from current evidence.
The first presentation focussed on the provision of joint funding from the SHA and DH and Regional Efficiency and Improvement Programme (REIP)
The second presentation from Jackie and Anne and provided further information on how this funding has been used and the services that have been provided to successfully enable people with dementia to Remain in their own home.

To promote the implementation of telehealth/telecarewhat do you think the opportunities are of pooling knowledge and resources with the LA and SC including housing.
Question 2
Imagine you are the commissioner and you are designing a new service for people to self manage their long term condition(s). What would you expect to design and how would you design the pathway?
Question 3
Technology has progressed in recent years and it is unlikely that we are using this to best effect. Can you see any opportunities to use technology in the future to support people with long term conditions?
Question 4
There are some ethical issues around the implementation of telecare, explore what these are and how care services might be able to balance the potential conflict between the rights and risks of all parties involved.
