The data show that the overall patient experience score in 2011 for Outpatient Services is 79.2 out of 100 (where 80 would suggest that patients, on average, found the service 'very good'). There have been improvements in scores for 'safe high quality coordinated care' (from 83.2 to 83.6), 'building closer relationships' (from 87.3 to 87.7) and 'clean comfortable friendly place to be' (70.9 to 71.3). There was a slight fall in the score for 'better information, more choice' (from 79.1 to 78.6). This fall is a result of reductions in patients' feeling that risks and benefits of treatment, and any medications side effects, were explained. This fourth annual report presents key findings and recommendations from the audit which includes data submitted between April 2010 and March 2011. The audit focuses on the care and treatment of all patients with an unscheduled admission to hospital with heart failure. This report presents a new estimate of the prevalence of autism among adults aged 18 years and over. This was derived using data from the 2007 Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey (APMS) in combination with data from a new study of the prevalence of autism among adults with learning disabilities. The study was based on adults with learning disabilities living in private households and communal care establishments in Leicestershire, Lambeth and Sheffield. The study demonstrates that autism is common among people with a learning disability and, in taking these into account, at 1.1 per cent nationally is slightly higher than the previous estimate of 1.0 per cent in the APMS 2007. The Forum looked at four areas of health policy: the NHS's role in the public's health, information, education and training and integration.
