Rules and conditions

  1. All pieces of work must involve an NHS partner within the Trent health area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire) but may be led by a representative of another stakeholder organisation.

  2. Most of the changes to services must have been undertaken in 2004/5, and any 'projects' mentioned must still be in operation.

  3. Entries must be received via the on-line submissions form no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 30th November 2005

  4. The main body of the abstract must be no more than 1000 words in length (as stated on the form).  Any submissions that are over 1000 words will be disqualified from the awards process.

5.   A random selection of submissions will be asked to present verbally at the event.  Notification will be given by the end of January. 

6. As these submissions will be published both on a web site and in the event brochure they must be checked for spelling and grammatical errors before submission.

7. To comply with best practice, please use plain English and avoid the use of abbreviations.

8. It is a pre-requisite of the awards process that all submissions will have showcased their work by poster at the learning and sharing event on 22nd and 23rd March 2006.

9. The award monies (£1000 per category) for eventual winners will be paid by automatic transfer to their organisation and must be used by the winning team to further develop the service or to undertake learning and sharing activities. 

10. The winners will be expected to share their experiences and practice to help others learn from their work.

11. All winning entries will be supported in making submissions for National Awards (e.g. Health and Social Care Awards etc.).

12. The judges' decisions will be final.
