Allied Healthcare Professionals and Commissioning Event

Influencing Commissioning and using information to transform services

Leicester Tigers Rugby Club - April 30th 2009

This was event was aimed at clinicians and team leaders delivering care directly to patients and wanting to improve service. It explored how national policy initiatives (such as the Darzi Next Stage Review, world class commissioning and information management) fit together and how clinicians with knowledge of these initiatives can successfully improve services.

The learning outcomes of the day were that delagates would :-
• Be able to understand and explain how Allied Healthcare Professionals can influence and shape commissioning locally
• Understand the context of national policy for local health and well being services
• Have identified the next steps for action in their service and organisation
• Understand the contribution Allied Healthcare Professionals in the region, currently and potentially, make to service improvement and patient experience
